You are in the right place if

In either case, you simply download LM Pro and install it. You do not have to uninstall LM 2000 first. (If LM 2000 is on your computer, make sure you do not try to install LM Pro in the same folder!)

You are NOT in the right place if you are a current user of LM Pro who wishes to get the latest update. In that case, go to the Updating page.

If you want to evaluate The Literary Machine by trying out the freeware edition, LM 2000, click the LM 2000 node in the navigation tree. It is recommended to learn LM by using the free LM 2000.

A Note About the Ordering Process

We've had a few questions about this, so reading this before you order might spare you some confusion.

ShareIt gives you five payment options. For payment through the two that use "plastic" money (i.e., credit card or debit card), you must provide a POP3 email address, such as through an ISP like AOL or Earthlink — NOT a free Web mail address, such as through Hotmail or Yahoo. For payment by any other method, however, ANY email address will do.

Why the difference? Free Web mail accounts are virtually anonymous, and their owners are located nowhere. Moreover, when the product is software, there is no shipping address, because the merchandise ships electronically. So, this email-account restriction is just a common precaution against credit-card fraud, which costs and threatens us all.

So, if while ordering you get a message that your email address is unacceptable, just give a POP3 address instead or change your selected payment method. Thank you for your understanding.


Here is a list of your options:

  1. Credit Card: When you pay by credit card, you can download the program almost immediately.
  2. Debit cards: from Switch and Solo (UK). When you pay by debit card, you can download the program almost immediately.
  3. Bank/Wire Transfer: You get the bank account information by email after you submit your order. When your payment is received, ShareIt emails you the information you need to download the program.
  4. Check: ShareIt accepts bank transfers from US banks and checks drawn on US banks from US customers. Canadian checks are not accepted unless they are drawn on a US-Dollar account. Customers outside the United States must send guaranteed bank checks such as money orders or Cashier's Checks. You get detailed information by email after you submit your order. When your payment is received, ShareIt emails you the information you need to download the program.
  5. Cash: You can also send ShareIt cash by mail. You get their postal address by email when you submit your order. When your payment is received, ShareIt emails you the information you need to download the program.
