Adapting LM to different languages

Many users want to adapt LM to another character set. The basic "intl" (international) setting usually works. But database character sets are not standardized.

Some languages require a special setup of the Paradox database system (Borland Database Engine) used by LM. To perform this setup:

  1. Run the program file "BDEADMIN.exe" and select a language for
  2. Close LM Pro. Empty, remove or rename the db subdirectory in your LM program directory.
  3. Start LM Pro. New, empty database files will be created with language settings as required in the BDE setup you performed.

See this note for a list of language drivers.
